The picture I've attached invokes a hundred emotions for me. It's the simplest yet the most memorable culinary pleasure I've experienced. Classic tit bits vada pav, with their kesaria chai. Whether I just wanna snack on something light, or treat an empty stomach, this is the go-to choice if I'm anywhere around the Rabindra Sadan area. A 100 bucks, and both your taste bud and heart would be buzzing. The vada pav here is hands down the best vada pav you can get in the whole of Kolkata ( I can throw a dollar on that challenge!).
Though they offer a variety of vada pavs ranging from cheese vada pav to Italian and Chinese vada pav, I feel some things, are best left untampered, and the classic plain vada pav is everything you need to make your taste buds have a dance.
The kesaria chai is the best compliment to it.
Apart from this deadly combo, I've also tried their Indian thali, tikki chola, dhokla, pao bhaji , dabeli and club kachori, and man! I've never been disappointed.
It's sad to see a few negative reviews here , but my experience here (food wise) has always been satisfactory. Brownie points to low pocket pinch.
Ambience wise, it could disappoint you a bit as they have a very small seating area, more so because they were primarily a sweet shop.
But if you want to have the best vada pav in town, and the best tea to compliment it OR you want to have a hearty desi meal within just 200 bucks, in an air conditioned place (yes, you read that right!), there cannot be a better option.
Oh vada pav, how I miss you during this pandemic :')
Tried the famous Indian combo thali from this place and yes I was fully satisfied with the food...it contains dum aloo, butter panner, rice, papad, raita and mini gulab jamun which was the best part 😍..the quality of the food was great and the ambience too was commendable...the price is very reasonable and you must give this place a try 😊
This is one of my favorite places to go!!! This time we ordered Indian Combo Thali!! It was a bliss to have this!! The butter paneer and dum aloo was absolutely delicious! The pulao and dal makhani was exquisite and the raita was like cherry on the cake!! And I loved the mini gulab jamuns they served with it!!! This was wholesome!!!
